JITO Youth Wing Bangalore South set the bar higher with JYG Season 4, The Grandmaster’s Board – The Board-Field, which was held at Edify, Chikkabanavara. JYG Season 4 began with a clear statement of intent: a 5-month-long sporting championship with 12 teams, divided into Clans, battling across 10+ sports. The Board-Field was Move Three on this Grandmaster’s Board. Designed as a multi-dimensional competitive experience, the event fused physical endurance, strategic thinking, and team coordination into one dynamic format.
The 5 core phases of the games were Water Polo, Ghoda Kabaddi, Brain Games, Board Games, and Settlers Of JYG 4 (Catan). Layered with relay-based challenges and team strategy tasks, the format kept engagement at its peak. All activities ran simultaneously across multiple arenas, ensuring non-stop action and participation from every team.
The sports setup was a hybrid setup that combined indoor and outdoor arenas. 500+ players across 12 teams turned up, making it one of JYG’s largest single-day events. Four arenas operated simultaneously, maintaining relentless energy and zero downtime. All games ran at the same time. Each team split into sub-teams to ensure representation across all sports, keeping every player in the game.
The Dual-Format Structure comprised two parts. The first was Clash of Clans: team-based formats testing agility, coordination, and quick thinking. It featured Ghoda Kabaddi, Water Polo, Board Games, and Brain Games - all contributing to the team score. The second was Civil War, the grand finale centered on human-sized Settlers of JYG. Planning, negotiation, and execution came to the fore as teams faced off for the championship. This structure ensured both collective clan-based rivalry and individual team-level competition. After hours of intense, closely contested matches, Team Travergy emerged as the winner and Team Dress Code was the runner-up.
Project Conveners were Kunal Makana, Riddhi Gandhi, and Taksh Nahar, transforming a bold vision into flawless execution. The event was graced by JITO Youth Wing Chairman Mehul Srisrimal, Chief Secretary Rishabh Chopra, Treasurer Yash Jain, Joint Secretaries Diksha Bhansali & Avadhi Chouhan, and Managing Committee members Kanish, Riddhi, Labdhi, Shashank, Shubham, Krish Mehta, Vardhaman, Reeth, Kunal Rathod, and Ridhi Mehta, whose presence added both weight and warmth to the occasion.
The Board-Field was a resounding success — a showcase of exceptional teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship. With 500+ participants, 5 core game formats, and simultaneous multi-arena execution, the event set a new benchmark for scale and planning within JYG 4. More than a tournament, it was a statement: when strategy meets sport, legends are built on the board and the field.
