LIFESTYLE RESET

Under the Health and Nutrition Initiative, JITO Ladies Wing Bangalore South organized an awareness workshop on ‘Lifestyle Reset’, focusing on metabolic disorders, at Arihant College on 10th January 2026, with the active participation of over 160 members.

The program began with the chanting of the Navkar, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Vice Chairperson Smt. Lataji Bohra welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of health awareness in today’s changing lifestyle. Former Chairperson Smt. Nisha Samar highlighted that balanced nutrition is the foundation of a healthy life.

Renowned wellness coach Smt. Naina Praveen, introduced by Co-Convener Smt. Kavita Mutha, conducted the session. She explained the concept of metabolism, key indicators of metabolic disorders, waist circumference above 35 inches, blood pressure over 130, cholesterol above 200, and genetic factors, and how sedentary habits worsen these conditions. She also connected lifestyle disorders such as diabetes, PCOS, and fatty liver to modern living.

Smt. Naina dispelled common health myths, clarifying that fruit-only diets, cheat days, and excessive water intake are not universally beneficial. She emphasized moderation and holistic fitness through cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and healthy body composition.

Chairperson Smt. Babita Raysoni shared an impactful message, stating that illness is the result of years of neglect and that health is a daily, disciplined commitment. She stressed that while women manage family health, their own health must be a priority. Chief Secretary Smt. Nidhi Palrecha noted that such initiatives empower women to consistently adopt healthier lifestyles.

The program was anchored by Joint Secretary Smt. Sakshi Nahar, with the vote of thanks delivered by Smt. Asmita Chauhan. The event was graced by Treasurer Smt. Sangeeta Parakh, Joint Secretary Smt. Chandra Jain, committee members Smt. Priya Gandhi, Smt. Nisha Kothari and Smt. Sangeeta Siyal, along with Shri Darshan Jain and Shri Tanmy Jain from the Oduba Team.

During the event, winners of the first week of the month-long ‘Fitness Fiesta’ were announced. The presence of Former Chairperson Smt. Nisha Samar and JITO Hostel Convener Smt. Chitraji Mehta added further dignity to the program. The workshop proved to be a meaningful step toward inspiring women to embrace a healthy, aware, and balanced lifestyle.
