JITO Bangalore North Chapter Participates in Republic Day Parade
Under the leadership of JITO Ladies Wing Chairperson Smt. Lakshmi Bafna, the JITO Bangalore North Chapter became part of the historic Republic Day Parade organized by the Karnataka State Government at Manekshaw Parade Ground, M G Road, Bengaluru, on the occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day.
This grand event, hosted by the Karnataka Government, was marked by the unfurling of the national flag by the State Governor, Shri. Thavarchand Gehlot, who also inspected and saluted the parade. In his address, the Governor emphasized the historical significance of the day, calling it a landmark moment in the emergence of democracy. He paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s unity and highlighted that the Constitution, implemented on this day, established the rule of law, replacing rules set by kings and feudal lords. Stressing the importance of safeguarding the Constitution, he remarked, "If we protect the Constitution, it will protect us." Additionally, he outlined key Karnataka government schemes like the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme, Gruha Jyoti Scheme, Shakti Scheme, Yuva Nidhi Scheme, and Anna Bhagya Scheme.
The program began with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by the national anthem. Afterward, the Governor took the parade salute, which featured disciplined and courageous performances by various wings of the state police. The parade was adorned with floats from different states and cultural groups. The highlight of the event was the thrilling stunts performed by the state police personnel and the display of military equipment. Additionally, tableaux representing various districts of Karnataka added to the grandeur.
Several dignitaries, including the Governor and senior officials, attended this majestic event. JITO Bangalore North Chapter was represented by Chief Secretary Shri. Vijay Singhvi, committee members Shri. Sunil Lodha, Shri. Dinesh Jain, Prameet Bafna, and JITO Ladies Wing Founder Chairperson Nisha Samar. Other notable members included Chairperson Smt. Lakshmi Bafna, Chief Secretary Smt. Raksha Chajjed, Vice President Smt. Suman Singhvi, Co-Secretary Smt. Meena Badera, and committee members Smt. Sangeeta Nagori, Smt. Sadhna Dhoka, Smt. Alka Lodha, Smt. Nanda Bafna, Smt. Sarika Jain, Smt. Sangeeta Mutha, Smt. Prema Ranka, Smt. Neha Bhandari, Smt. Bindu Nahar, and Smt. Mona Anchaliya, with a total of 80 members in attendance.
Smt. Ratnibai Mehta managed the entry pass arrangements, while Smt. Suman Ranka and Smt. Jyoti Solanki coordinated the event, ensuring seamless organization and extending gratitude to all participants. The Republic Day Parade was a proud and grand celebration of national unity and culture.
