Inauguration of JATF Baldota Girls Hostel Annex Building & Digital Library at Bangalore
The JATF Baldota Girls Hostel celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of their new Annex Building and Digital Library on January 14, 2024. The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed donors, Narendra Kumar Chitra Devi Baldota and Mukesh Punmiya & Family, who played pivotal roles in the realization of these projects. The JATF Baldota Girls Hostel has been successfully providing world-class accommodation for Jain girl students pursuing higher education in Bangalore, the education hub of India and the world, for the past three years. The hostel aims to create a conducive environment for academic excellence and personal growth. The growing demand for hostel facilities for Jain girls in Bangalore, the JATF Hostel Bangalore Central Trust decided to expand its existing infrastructure by constructing a new Annex Building. The sole donor of this significant addition is Narendra Kumar Chitra Devi Baldota, whose generosity has enhanced the capacity of the hostel to accommodate an additional 40 students in 10 rooms. The grand inauguration ceremony Hostel Annex Building was done by Solo Donor Shri Narendra Kumarji Chitra Devi Baldota, Tejrajji Gulecha (Chairman Advisory Committee JITO Apex), Vinodji Dugar (JATF Chairman), Narendraji Jain (President JATF), Vikramji Karbawala (Vice President JATF), and members of the JATF National team, Prakashchand Singhvee (Hostel Project), Dilip Kothari (Chairman Construction), Mahaveer Ostwal (Hostel Treasurer), Naresh Nijbia (Hostel Joint Treasurer), Dinesh Bohra (Chairman JITO Bangalore South), Inderchand Bohra (Chairman JITO Bangalore North), Sunitha Gandhi, Bindu Raisoni (JLW Chairpersons South and North), Hostel Convener Ashok Karbawala, JITO Dignitaries, and members. The newly inaugurated Annex Building brings the total capacity of the JATF Baldota Girls Hostel to 175 students, making it the largest facility in JITO and the Jain community at large. The existing facility, with 45 rooms accommodating 135 students, has been a beacon of excellence, and the new addition further strengthens its commitment to providing quality living spaces for Jain girls pursuing higher education. The event also marked the inauguration of the Digital Library, generously donated by Mukesh Punmiya and Family. The library is equipped with a diverse collection of books catering to the academic needs of the students. Prakashchand Singhvee, Hostel Chairman, warmly welcomed all the dignitaries and donors to the ceremony. He provided insights into the state-of-the-art facilities available at the hostel, including an in-house hygienic pantry serving Jain food, a Community Hall, Recreational Area, Gym, Central Air Conditioning, 24-hour security, CCTV cameras, a Laundry room, and a Biometric system. He also highlighted that students from 18 states across India, ranging from Jammu to Tamil Nadu and Mizoram to Gujarat, call the hostel their home. Expressing his joy, Solo Donor Narendra Kumar Baldota commended the completion of the new Annex Building within a span of three years, crediting the determination of the Hostel Construction team led by Prakashchand Singhvee. He urged the JATF National Team to explore opportunities for constructing more hostels, particularly for Jain working women and girls.

They expressed appreciation for the committees efforts in creating a beautiful hostel facility in Bangalore.The testimonies of hostel students about the facilities echoed the success of the hostel itself, highlighting the positive impact it has on their academic and personal lives. The donors were felicitated by the dignitaries present, and the ceremony was attended by approximately 150 members, making it a memorable and significant occasion in the journey of JATF Baldota Girls Hostel.
