Namma Karnataka Malenadu Trip

Jai Jinendra!

JITO Belagavi successfully organised the “Namma Karnataka Malenadu Jain Pilgrimage Tour” from 2nd August to 6th August 2026, with the inspiring tagline:

“Where Faith Meets Heritage – Malenadu Jain Pilgrimage Awaits.”

The five-day pilgrimage was thoughtfully planned to provide members with a unique combination of spirituality, Jain heritage, history, and togetherness, while exploring the rich Jain traditions and heritage of the Malenadu and surrounding regions of Karnataka.

A total of 24 JITO Belagavi members participated in the tour, making it a memorable journey filled with devotion, fellowship, and cultural exploration. The tour covered several important Jain pilgrimage and heritage destinations, including Humcha, Varanga, Sringeri, Hornadu, Dharmasthala, Karkala, Navilu Basadi Vittala, Kukke Subrahmanya, Shravanabelagola, and Kambadahalli.

During the journey, members had the opportunity to visit several historic Jain temples and pilgrimage sites and learn about their rich religious and architectural heritage. The spiritual highlight of the tour was the visit to Shravanabelagola, where all the participating members had the opportunity to perform Pooja and seek blessings at this revered Jain pilgrimage centre.

The tour covered an impressive distance of approximately 1,550 kilometres, taking the participants through the scenic landscapes of the Malenadu region. Beyond the pilgrimage, the journey provided an excellent opportunity for members to spend quality time together, strengthen friendships, and build greater camaraderie within the JITO family.

The well-organised itinerary, peaceful surroundings, spiritual experiences, and enthusiastic participation of all members made the Namma Karnataka Malenadu Jain Pilgrimage Tour 2026 a truly memorable experience. The tour successfully brought together faith, heritage, nature, and fellowship, leaving the participants with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation of Karnataka’s rich Jain legacy.

We sincerely thank all the JITO Belagavi members who participated in the Namma Karnataka Malenadu Jain Pilgrimage Tour and contributed to making it a memorable and successful journey. Their enthusiasm, cooperation, and active participation throughout the five days added great warmth and spirit to the tour.

JITO Belagavi looks forward to organising many more such meaningful initiatives that promote Jain heritage, spiritual enrichment, and community bonding among its members.
