Cyber Peace Yatra

JITO Ladies Wing Bangalore South organized “Saavdhan- Cyber Peace Yatra”, a cyber security awareness program under the Diginari initiative, at Adarsh College Auditorium, with participation from over 160 women on March 13th, 2026! The session aimed to create awareness about the rising threat of cyber-crimes and empower women to stay alert in the digital space.

Chairperson Smt. Babita Raysoni highlighted the importance of digital awareness, stating that while technology has made life easier, it has also increased vulnerability to cyber fraud. Cyber security trainer Ms. Avadhi Chauhan, introduced by Convener Smt. Vanita Bachawat, conducted an insightful session on common cyber scams and preventive measures.

A unique highlight of the event was a series of six short skits that creatively showcased real-life cyber fraud scenarios such as social media trolling, OTP scams, fake links, online shopping fraud, photo morphing, and digital arrest scams—delivering strong messages through engaging performances.

The session also covered practical safety tips like identifying fake links, safeguarding personal information, and adopting security measures such as two-factor authentication and app permissions. Participants were guided on immediate steps to take in case of fraud, including contacting the cyber helpline 1930 and reporting on the national cyber-crime portal.

The event was effectively anchored by Chief Secretary Smt. Nidhi Palrecha. Office bearers including Vice Chairperson Smt. Lata Bohra, Treasurer Smt. Sangeeta Parakh, Joint Secretaries Smt. Sakshi Nahar and Smt. Chandra Jain, along with managing committee members Smt. Sangeeta Siyal, Smt. Asmita Chouhan, and Smt. Rekha Vinod Jain, were present. The program was a meaningful blend of learning and entertainment, leaving participants more aware, cautious, and digitally empowered.
