13th Edition of the Career Guidance Program

On February 7, 2026, JITO Belgavi successfully organized under the CFE vertical its 13th Edition of the Career Guidance Program. The event took place at the K.K. Venugopal Auditorium, Gogate College of Commerce, Hindwadi, Belagavi.

This program was specifically designed for 10th-standard students from both Belagavi City and the surrounding rural areas. It was proudly supported by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Belagavi, and saw the participation of over 750+ students from various schools.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Hon. Shri Mohammad Roshan IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi, who served as the Chief Guest. Chairman Harshavardhan Inchal extended a warm welcome to the gathering, and Event Convenor Vikram Jain briefly outlined the purpose of the event. During the inauguration, Shri Mohammad Roshan IAS addressed the students, offering valuable guidance on how to shape their careers through discipline in student life. Smt. Leelavati Hiremath, DDPI Belagavi, Shri Y.J. Bhajantri, BEO Belagavi City, and Anjaneya K.R., BEO Belagavi Rural, were also present for the inauguration.

Following the inauguration, the first session featured Shri Abhinav Jain IAS, Probationary Deputy Commissioner of Belagavi, who spoke on "Career Opportunities in Competitive Exams." He emphasized various competitive examinations and provided insights into how students can prepare for them, also discussing the pros and cons of social media.

The second session was led by renowned Neurologist Dr. Sooraj Patil, who presented on "Career Opportunities in Healthcare Sectors." He provided a concise overview of different courses available to students who opt for the Science stream. Dr. Patil also motivated the students and shared his experiences regarding life and growth after studying in a vernacular language.

The third session was conducted by Retd. Flt. Lt. Deeksha Shukla, she spoke on "Career Opportunities in the Defence Sector." She explained the various examinations conducted by defense academies for entry into the Indian Defence forces. She also highlighted the pride of serving the nation, the discipline one learns from military service, and the increasing career opportunities for girls in the defense sector.

The program received an overwhelmingly positive response from the students, evident in their smiling faces throughout the event.The program concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Chief Secretary Abhay Adimani. CFE Convenor Deepak Subedhar was also present. The event was emceed by Mahendra Parmar.

The program concluded with a group photograph and the National Anthem.
