12th JITO Shanky Scholarship Program

On June 1st, 2025, JITO Belgaum organized its 12th JITO Shanky Scholarship Program at Millennium Garden, Belagavi. The event recognized and supported 156 students from the Jain community who recently passed out SSLC (2025 batch) by awarding them scholarships and handed over them cheques.

This scholarship program was established twelve years ago with the initial support of Shri Shantilal Porwal & family and has expanded through the contributions of numerous donors over the years.

The event commenced with the chanting of the Navakar Maha Mantra and the lighting of a  lamp.
Chairman Harshavardhan Inchal, welcomed the students and attendees,  Event Convener, Pramod Patil, explained the purpose of the event. Kuntinath Kalamani briefed students about different educational related projects like JEAP, JATF and Jobs vertical.

Shri Shantilal Porwal,  Director Shanti Foumach the Title Donor and Guest of Honor, addressed the students, encouraging them to excel in their educational pursuits.

The Chief Guest and Guest Speaker, Smt. Leelavati Hiremath, DDPI Belagavi, engaged with the students, emphasizing the importance of having a vision for their lives. She also provided guidance on various educational opportunities in the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams.

Shri Vijay Metgud, Chief Guest, addressed the gathering and in his speech he told Jain community, is always know for giving back to society noting their tradition of philanthropy and societal contributions. He further added that Jain philosophy emphasizes helping others and commended JITO Belgaum for their work in the field of education.

The Chief Secretary Abhay Adimani proposed a vote of thanks.

The program concluded with the singing of the National Anthem and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
