JITO Bangalore North and JITO Bangalore South jointly organized "Budget Insights 2025" to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Union Budget 2025 and its impact on businesses. The event was held at Devaraj Urs Bhavan, Vasanth Nagar.
The program commenced with the chanting of the Navkar Mantra, followed by the lighting of the lamp by JITO dignitaries and speakers. JITO Bangalore South Chairman Shri. Ranjeet Solanki welcomed the attendees and emphasized JITO’s commitment to economic empowerment, service, and education. JITO Bangalore North Chairman Shri. Vimal Kataria explained the objective of the event, stating that through JITO, they aim to develop new initiatives and foster community growth, thereby advancing the business sector. JITO Bangalore North Chief Secretary Shri. Vijay Singhvi set the context for the session, highlighting discussions on challenges related to income tax and GST, helping business owners gain a clear understanding of the tax system. He also launched the JITO Professional Forum and invited professionals to join.
Renowned speaker CA Shri. Vimal Punamiya from Mumbai shed light on over 100 amendments made in various sections of the Finance Bill in Budget 2025 and the positive transformations in the business sector. He emphasized how digitization and the adoption of modern technologies have made businesses more transparent and accessible. Shri. Vimal Punamiya presented a detailed analysis of direct and indirect taxes, providing business owners with updated taxation insights. The program also addressed challenges faced by women in the workplace. Shri. Vimal Punamia stressed the importance of women having precise knowledge of income tax to better understand their financial rights and responsibilities.
GST expert Shri. Rishabh Singhvi explained how the government collects data from various sources, including ITRs, GST returns, banking transactions, digital payments, import-export records, and PAN-Aadhaar linking. He elaborated on how analyzing this data helps curb tax evasion and enhances transparency in the taxation system.
A panel discussion, moderated by Shri. Shirish Shah and Shri. Harikishan Chhajed, featured Shri. Vimal Punamiya and Shri. Rishabh Singhvi, who discussed key topics related to business, taxation, and financial management. This was followed by a Q&A session, where participants raised questions regarding the impact of Budget 2025 and tax planning strategies.
